In early November my mom and I joined our family friends at their yurt on Lopez Island. While it was very cold when we first arrived, it was beautiful weather to explore the island. It was very relaxing and a lot of fun to remember the many summers of sailing in the San Juan Islands.

Playing Tourist in Seattle

I am very late in posting this, but back in August my good friend E came to Seattle to visit. She and I were practically joined at the hip when I lived in Boston for 2 years. So it was fun to reunite and for me to show her around my city. During my time in Boston she was my tour guide and my compass as I pieced together the neighborhoods in Boston. She put me to shame when she came to Seattle, as she quickly oriented herself to this new city. It was fun though to be tour guide AND tourist in Seattle. Always fun to rediscover the city that you live in. I took E to a few of my favorite spots in the city.

Corn Mazes, Pumpkins, and Puppies....Oh My!

Sounders Corn Maze

The fall has only just begun and already it has been filled with fun fall activities. Z and I took maternity pics for our good friend J. It was a chance for us to practice our photography skills, give her the gift of photos, AND gave me an excuse to go to a pumpkin patch :) Oh, and she brought Lola and Basil. My four legged friends. A couple weeks later Z and I left the city pavement behind for the dirt trails of a Sounder/Kasey Keller themed corn maze. Soon to follow is pumpkin carving and Hocus Pocus :)

Birthday Weekend in YVR

YVR

As evidenced by this photo collage I celebrated my 26th birthday with lots of laughter and fun in Vancouver BC and with 2 of my besties! The original plan was to go bungee jumping and then to the Sounders v. White Caps game. However due to timing we had to nix the bungee jumping....no worries it's just an excuse for another trip north! Instead we spent the day at the Capilano Suspension Bridge and then the Sounders game. Which of course we won!

Amazeballs Trip to PDX

I was introduced to this great blog designed/written by a group of photographers, the Mammoth Men. Inspired by their works Z and I wanted to create a video collage of photos. This is the resulting product (still needs some work...but I am a novice at this). And little did I realize that I used the exact same song used by the Mammoth Men. Oops. It just fit so well.
